Football Club Internazionale Milano, commonly known as Inter, or in English-speaking countries as Inter Milan, is an Italian professional football club based in Milan, Lombardy. They play in Serie A. Lautaro Martínez is the current captain of Inter Milan.
The club was founded on March 9, 1908, following a schism within the Milan Cricket and Football Club (now AC Milan), driven by the desire to allow foreign players to compete. Inter's home ground is the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, also known as San Siro, which is the largest stadium in Italy with a capacity of 75,817. Inter shares the stadium with rivals AC Milan. The long-standing rivalry between the two clubs is known as the Derby della Madonnina.
